Once again I find myself stunned by the outrageous and absolutely incomprehensible actions of those inscrutable enigmas… me, myself, and I. Wait, what?
This is a test to see if anyone actually reads these things before commenting on them on social media. So if you’re reading this, do me a favor: comment “The lemon tree likes its leaves lively,” on the post where you found the link to this blog entry.
Why am I doing this? Well, I shared a blog entry on Facebook, as I usually do, just to make them easier to find. And the post generated a couple of comments that I found puzzling. I was perplexed because the comments did not pertain to the contents of the article. However they did relate to the title (somewhat). So I presumed that the person(s) who commented did not actually read the article, they simply commented on what they assumed the article was about. The thing is, the titles to these entries are usually just toss-off jokes and often do not actually have any direct connection to the contents therein. For example, see the above headline. “They did it again?!” could mean any of a thousand different things; however in this case it doesn’t mean anything.
So I thought we’d have some fun with it. So if you’re reading this, and if you’d be so kind, please comment the above phrase, and we’ll see what happens.
