I share a birthday with Jim Martin, founding guitarist of Faith No More. I always liked his style of playing, providing the metal in a band that was a hybrid of elements of rock, funk, and hip-hop. I remember the announcement that he was departing the band back in the early 90s but never heard much about how it came about.
