I typically just share random stories I find on my blog, but I thought I would get a little personal with this one.
If you were missing me last week, I was with Timmy, my dad. He had a heart procedure on Wednesday which turned into a rollercoaster ride. After being at the hospital all day, he went home where I stayed with him. They had went in through his arms, so he wasn’t allowed to lift over one pound. I was scared I was going to have to wipe his butt, but I didn’t…thank God! lol I’m just not ready for that.
Then as we are sitting watching Catfish and Ridiculousness, Timmy’s tv viewing pleasures. If not, it’s Dr. Pol or RFD-tv. Our phones go off that he has an update in chart on his medical app. After several times that he has locked himself out of it, I have now added his chart to my account. Now this was around 1p and the message was time stamped at 10:30 that he needed to go to the ER immediately and be admitted to the hospital from his doctor!! WTH! So, he calls his doctor and surprisingly a nurse answers and says, yes, you need to go right away and let us know when you get there. So, off to the hospital we go AGAIN!
Get to the Emergency Room and try to explain that he needs to be admitted per his doctor. As I was explaining this to the check-in, the doctor’s office is calling Timmy asking him where was he and he answers “the ER”, great we will see you soon! HA HA
We sat in the waiting room for almost 2 hours! Then finally go back. He didn’t get admitted to a room until 10pm. So, the next day they observed him and check his levels. Basically they were trying to remove fluid that had been building up. There are a lot more details, but if he finds out that I put this out there, he will probably give me more garden work this year. They did release him later that evening, but without more testing that we were told needed to me done?!?
So, now we wait for more appointments for a specialist in DC. Thank you for all your kind words you have been sending me. I truly do appreciate it!
