I once got hit in the back with a hockey stick. It was accidental, or so I was told. I was playing street hockey, and at one point I and this other dude were both going for the ball, I got it first and took a shot just as he was moving to try to pass. I took a step to the left and his stick connected with my back. For about three days afterwards I couldn’t get comfortable. It didn’t matter whether I sat, stood, or lay, I could not get comfortable. The thing ached constantly. Not a sharp pain, just a dull ache. Eventually it went away.
This is how I feel now. I thought my rib was healing, and I guess it is, but for about a week there I was all but pain free. Then I woke up on Friday and it was hurting again, and it’s only gotten steadily worse since then. Luckily I’m getting treatment for it, and they’re doing all they can, but bro this sucks. Seriously, I feel like someone clocked me with a hockey stick again.
