Back in the day when I was a part of Just Dirty Saturday Nights, one annual tradition we had was making NFL picks. I’ve gotten out of that, other than the Pick ’em challenge but I figured I’d go ahead a make a prediction for the big game. If I’m right that’s bragging rights for me; if I’m wrong, you can rag on me. That’s what I call a win/win.
I’m going with the Rams 32-24. The Bengals look good, not gonna lie. But the Rams just seem to have the mojo on their side; they’ve built up an impressive head of steam over the last several weeks of the season and into the postseason, and they’ve made a bunch of impressive additions, like Stafford, OBJ, Von Miller, even Eric Weddle. Not to mention they’re playing in their home stadium, and as I’m sure you know, teams playing on their home field in the Super Bowl are 1 and 0 (that being last year’s Buccaneers).
So I’m backing the Rams on this one, but you gotta hand it to the Bengals; they truly are a Cinderella story. Joe Burrow and company will definitely return.
