OK, so it’s Kansas City vs Philadelphia in the Super Bowl. So my prediction was only half correct. But to be fair, once I actually saw the highlights of the AFC Championship Game, or should I say lowlights; put it this way, it wasn’t a badly played as Super Bowl V, commonly thought to have been the sloppiest of all NFL championship games, although not for any lack of trying on the part of Cincinnati. Not sure what the reasons for it were but it sure looked like the Cleveland Browns out there in the Bengals’ uniforms. In any case the Bengals could not get by the Chiefs one last time, and as a result they’ll be watching the big game from home. As will be the San Francisco 49ers, who resembled a pickup team against the Eagles, although that wasn’t strictly their own fault, as they were plagued by injuries.

All of which means that in two weeks it’s the Andy Reid Bowl, as the Chiefs head coach takes on his former team. Or you could call it the Kelce bowl, as brothers face each other as players in the Super Bowl for the first time, namely the Eagles’ center Jason and Chiefs’ tight end Travis. Trivia: brothers have played in the Super Bowl as teammates before, when Devin McCarty and his brother Jason both suited up for the New England Patriots.
